Key Facts On Thoughts

  • 04.01.25

Thoughts propel action. Before a man acts, he thinks first. For instance, before Moses visited his people, he thought it out first (Acts 7:23). There was no visitation by Moses to his people until the desire to do so, was in his heart. Similarly, no success visits a man until he begins to think it. Thoughts shape destinies. The meaning of this is that you cannot arrive at the destination you have not seen, and seeing is a function of your imagination (Genesis 11:6). We see by our minds, thoughts, and imagination. Every destiny you desire, begin to think it; begin to imagine it, before you can actualise it. What you think the most is what you experience in life. For instance, if you think progress the most, you will experience it without fail. Job said, “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes” (Job 3:25-26). Job feared and what he feared happened. You need to understand something about fear. Like faith, fear expresses itself through thoughts and pictures of the mind; and so, when Job says that he feared and dreaded, he is talking about evil imaginations of loss and disaster that overwhelmed his mind over a sustained period of time. So, watch what you think! Change of life begins with change of thoughts. In Romans 12:2, we read, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” This verse of scripture shows us one truth; that we change our lives only to the degree to which we change the way we think. If the way you think does not change, you will not experience any change. Nothing changes until you change your thoughts.Every measure of progress that man has experienced, started in the mind. If you want to start something, start it in your mind. When you have it your mind, you will certainly have it in your hand if you take responsibility to do what it takes to make it happen!
